You can raise money to fight breast cancer and have fun at the same time at the fifth annual Tracy Hospital Foundation Run for the Ribbon & Women's Health Fair, Saturday, October 9. All proceeds benefit the Sutter Tracy Breast Project to promote community education and early detection of breast cancer, a disease that strikes one out of eight women in America. Join in all the excitement including entertainment by Megan Slankard, a pre-race aerobic warm up, entertainment, awards and prizes, and pancake breakfast by the Tracy Fire Department Reserve. Afterwards, spend time at the second annual Women"s Health Fair, the only one of its kind in the Tri-Central Valley. Visit over 60 booths featuring women's health and wellness information, free health screenings, local health and beauty experts, and more. Come for the run or the fair or both! A series of women’s health lectures will kick off this exciting event the week of October 4. "Sutter Tracy Community Hospital is the area's premier provider of women's health services, especially when it comes to breast cancer detection and treatment," said Stephen Tsang, MD, Sutter Tracy OB/GYN. "People outside of major cities normally have to travel miles to find the kind of high-tech equipment, advanced surgical techniques, and cutting edge treatments Sutter Tracy offers. The new state-of-the-art imaging enter opened in December which has given women access to even more and better services."
