Sutter Tracy Community Hospital Acquires Land for Future

2/25/05

TRACY, CA – Sutter Tracy Community Hospital is pleased to announce the purchase of 38 acres of land at the Gateway Business Park.  The Gateway project is located at the southwest corner of 11th Street and Lammers Road.

"This property will ensure that we have adequate land to accommodate the growth in our service area," said Sutter Tracy CEO Gary Rapaport. "We will begin to master plan this site in March."

Sutter Tracy will offer expanded services at Gateway.  At this time, the high level site plan for the use of the property include medical office buildings, hospital outpatient services and an area reserved for possible acute care services.

"Last year we completed a bed need analysis that determined an expected growth from our current 82 beds to need 125 beds by 2018," added Rapaport. "During 2005 we will embark on a master planning process to identify how best to meet these needs on our existing campus and the new Gateway site."

"Sutter Tracy Community Hospital received a favorable price in recognition of its not-for-profit charitable purpose," states Joel Elekman, Gateway President.
