New Orthopedist Specializing in Spinal Surgery Joins Medical Staff at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital

Tracy, CA - Morteza Farr, D.O., orthopedic surgeon recently joined the Dr. Kuldeep Sidhu and Dr. Frank DeMayo at the Tracy Orthopedics and Sport Medical Center. Dr. Farr is the area's first spine surgeon who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various spine disorders, including neck, mid and low back problems.

A graduate of the Kirksville College of osteopathic medicine in Missouri, Dr. Farr completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the POH Medical Center campus of Michigan State University in Pontiac, Michigan. He completed a fellowship in spine surgery under the direction of distinguished spine and neurosurgeons affiliated with Tulane University.

Dr. Farr has extensive training in many state-of-the-art surgical techniques, including anterior and posterior spinal fusion and microscopic surgery. He is also certified in Kyphoplasty, an innovative technique for treating spinal fractures caused by osteoporosis. These less invasive types of surgery reduce the risk of complications and speed up recovery time.
