Charitable Gift Annuity
An irrevocable transfer of property, personal assets, or securities in exchange for a contract to pay the donor an annuity for a fixed term of years or life.
Benefit to the donor:
This annuity allows a gift to be made that may not otherwise be made by the donor. It creates a steady annual income for the donor and enables the donor to receive an immediate income tax deduction.
Charitable Remainder Trust
An irrevocable trust that pays a specific annual amount to one or more people for a fixed period of years. At the end of the term of the trust, the remaining assets are distributed to the Tracy Hospital Foundation for the benefit of Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.
Benefit to the donor:
This trust enables the donor to receive an immediate income tax deduction and possible reduction or elimination of capital gains taxes with the possibility of receiving income for a specific period.
