Educational Activities

Sutter Tracy Community Hospital is dedicated to creating a healthier community. As part of this commitment, we regularly develop, sponsor and participate in a variety of health-related events, classes and activities. Health fairs, health screenings, support groups and seminars allow us to personally meet our fellow community members and to learn more about their health care needs. We also participate in health outreach programs for special populations, such as the elderly and children.

Healthy Connections

Located in downtown Tracy, Healthy Connections offers a wealth of health education resources, social services and family support. The idea for the “one-stop” health information and resource center grew out of the hospital’s 2004 community needs assessment. The assessment uncovered a number of critical health care needs facing our community, especially concerning issues facing parents, seniors and teens. The center helps strengthen existing resources and fill in gaps where services are lacking in the community.

Community Benefits

Sutter Tracy Community Hospital is dedicated to promoting a healthy community and meeting the health care needs of the diverse population we serve. In 2005, Sutter Tracy contributed nearly $13 million in charity care for the uninsured and underinsured, as well as for programs and services benefiting the entire community – a record high representing 14 percent of Sutter Tracy’s net patient revenues. Hospitals across the nation typically contribute only 9 to 10 percent of their net patient revenues to community benefit programs.
